"Who disconnected my thorazine drip?"

Won't you please tell us something about yourself?

Lifelong bookworm and cynic; long-lapsed Lutheran; born-again Zen paganish gardener; parent to many four-legged and no two-legged beings; happily hitched to fellow-capper and comic book guy/librarian DoktorD; tastes run eclectic (undoubtedly a reaction to growing up in the 50's and 60's in a small midwestern town): medieval music and countertenors, wardrobe by Morticia Addams, tabouli, horror books & movies, Scandinavian design, animal rights, odd medical miscellany and anything noirrrrr.

Any significance to your capping handle?

I've been known for my Halloween extravagances, including transforming my office at work to match my costume. One persona that stuck was Nurse Noir, sort of a blend of cinema baddies Nurse Diesel and Nurse Ratched. I share more than a few personality traits with each.

How did you discover Caption This! and/or Inventing Situations?

Just toolin' around the internet.

When do you usually cap?

At work, as time allows. Now that DoktorD and I have high-speed internet at home, it's weekends and evenings too (as cats allow!): WOO-HOOOO!!

Favorite sites on the internet (Other than CT/IS)?

The Temple of Amon (!), GlitterRock's Lair, Jesus of the Week, the Bullwer-Lytton Contest site, Japanese Engrish, Dark Side of the Internet

Favorite movie(s)/television show(s)?

Most TV is simply dreadful, but I admit current addictions to Iron Chef and Law & Order.
Movies? Silence of the Lambs, Best in Show, Cat People, Young Frankenstein, Serial Mom, Sixth Sense, Brief Encounter, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, anything with Joan Crawford and anything ever riffed by Best Brains.

If time and/or money weren't an object, what one thing would you do?

Find a loving home for every abused and unwanted dog, cat and child.

Any words of advice you'd like to pass along?

Madness takes its toll. Please have exact change.
